Join St Albans Symphony Orchestra celebrating our 80th Anniversary with a magnificent concert programme:
Rachmaninov's lyrical and romantic Piano Concerto No.2, played by Alissa Firsova;   Beethoven's famous Pastoral Symphony No.6; Adams' excitingly rhythmic Short Ride in a Fast Machine; and Sibelius' stirring Finlandia.

The Orchestra gave its first concert on 19th April 1932 in the Victoria Hall St Albans and has performed continuously ever since.

A resident of St Albans, Alissa Firsova was born in Moscow into a family of composers, moving to Britain in 1991. She is now a postgraduate student in piano, conducting and composition at the Royal Academy of Music. She has featured in the BBC Proms as both pianist and composer.
